Code of Ethics

The work we take on, the work we don't, and why.

Version 1.0  ·  SouthStack Limited  ·  hello@southstack.co.nz

1. Our Foundation

SouthStack is a faith-led business. That shapes how we treat clients, how we price our work, and what work we choose to take on. We believe in honest pricing, clear contracts, and building things that genuinely help people — not just things that make money.

We are not preachy about this. We work with clients of any background, faith, or none. But our values are real and they affect the decisions we make.

2. Work We Do Not Take On

We will decline work that conflicts with our faith and values. This includes:

  • Adult content, pornography, or sexually explicit material
  • Online gambling or betting platforms
  • Predatory lending, payday loans, or high-interest consumer credit marketing
  • Products or services designed to deceive, manipulate, or exploit vulnerable people
  • Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or harm toward any person or group

If you are unsure whether your project falls into one of these categories, just ask us. We would rather have an honest conversation upfront than waste your time or ours.

3. How We Work With Clients

Our faith informs how we treat the people we work with:

  • We give honest advice, even when it costs us a sale
  • We quote accurately and do not add hidden charges
  • We tell you when something is outside our capability rather than overpromising
  • We respect your time, your budget, and your trust
  • We do not take on more work than we can deliver well

4. Our Commitment to Quality

We consider poor work a failure of integrity, not just a technical shortcoming. Every site we build meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, scores above 90 on Lighthouse performance, and is delivered with a signed contract and clear handover. We do not cut corners.
